Due to a Board Member’s resignation, there is currently a Vacant position on the Board of Directors for Cathedral Pines Metropolitan District. If you are interested or know someone who is interested in serving on the board, please have them contact Rebecca Harris, District Manager (rebecca.h@wsdistricts.co), with a Letter of Interest to Serve on the Board.
The Board is eager to get this position filled, so please have your letter of interest returned to Rebecca by August 31, 2024. This will allow the Cathedral Pines designated Interview Committee to meet with each eligible elector prior to the September 17, 2024, Board meeting when he/ she will be appointed to the vacant position.
What to know prior to applying:
- Must be an Eligible Elector of the District. An Eligible Elector is a person who is Registered to Vote in the State of Colorado AND either:
- A resident of the District, or
- The owner (or the spouse or civil union partner of the owner) of taxable real or personal property situated in the District.
- Board meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 am (except February and November are held at 6:00 pm). The Meetings run approximately 2 – 2.5 hours; however, the board is eager to get this dwindled down as projects are taken care of.
- Each Board Member has a common-law fiduciary obligation to the District. Please reference State Statute 24-18-103, C.R.S.
- Current Board has a draft Board Member Code of Conduct (Bylaws), yet to be adopted, that will establish the various roles, responsibilities, and policies for the Metropolitan District Board and conducting business. You may find a draft of this document on the website here: https://cathedralpinesmd.colorado.gov/board-meetings
- There is an expectation that each Board member volunteer some time every month (varying between 5 – 15 hours a month) strictly to help with Metropolitan District Related projects. This helps the District keep costs low by not having to engage third-party contractors and assures that the Board has "experts" in each of the primary areas of responsibilities.
- In your Letter of Interest, be sure to include at least the following information:
- Contact information, so an interview can be set-up
- Brief Description on why you would be a good fit to serve on the Metro Board
- Your education background
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me below.
Thank you!
